Unacceptable laziness, I cannot do anything. I can't socialize with people, feeling annoyed. Even I almost died by the car accident today morning. Shame..
10th of Mar. Arrival.
Arrived in Dublin Airport, thinking seriously if coming to Ireland was a good idea after hearing people had said "How come are you going to Dublin for English?". At Immigration office desk, I was said to do something in 2 months. That's all I understood. The office lady, who must have been fed up with Asian people who come to Ireland for their English, threw one piece of paper which seemed like a name card to me to say to go away as soon as possible.
At the meeting point. There were people hugging with happines, crying with extreme happiness and me, alone. I had to find my agent. Over there, in the corner, yes, there was somebody, farmlike, countrified,
not suitable-like in here just like me.
"Mr. Choi?"
Korean, after 30hrs long, should have been pleased.. but couldn't feel anything. A mobile was handed and I called my mom with it, saying "I am here.". After all the introduction of the life in Ireland, I was chucked into a taxi to my host-family's house. James, that's his name. (He is Korean but cannot remember his Korean name.) While heading to the family, he told me loads of things which I am never gonna remember. Since he couldn't communicate with the taxi driver well, I am sure those were not that useful.
Arrived in front of the house.
A boy -14~16 yr old look-like- showed up himself and said to let him help me. Started, my life in Irealnd..
? : "Hi."
me : "Hi."
? : "My name is Jason."
me : "Ah... My name is Donghun. Nice to meet you."
Jason : "Don han?"
나 : "Ooh... not exactly, never mind. just call me 'Kay'"
Jason : "Okay, Kay, wanna take a shower?
I guess, those were what we talked. He said his mom had gone shopping taht if i had taken a shower and wait for a while, she would have been coming soon. Cannot be sure, if i understood correctly. But.. yes it was working. I mean, the English that I learnt from middle & high schools was working for me.
ps) Back in the day, I wanted to change my sur name (to my mother's) and found it difficult. And when i was planing to go abroad, was thinking of using my mother's surname as my English name at least. But, "Kang" doesn't sound really good as you see. So I got the "k" from that, so Kay, I named myself. After relizing that Kay is old-fashioned lady's name, I re-named myself 'K' though.
